In a time when complacency plagued the hardcore scene, Richmond, Virginia's Cast Aside rose as a new dawn. Heralded as one of the leaders of the new breed of straight edge hardcore, they championed the straight edge principles of heart, integrity, and respect. "The Struggle" was their debut album.
